Delivering official assessments

The brief

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the client had a large backlog of candidates waiting to sit an assessment that would allow them to prove competence and re-register against industry standards. Integrity of the examination process was essential and for this reason the assessment had always been carried out within physical examination centres. With the centres not being able to facilitate this, we were asked to replicate that integrity in an online environment.

The solution

We built two online assessments which used a number of bespoke in-built parameters to meet the requirements of the examination including assessment registration, variable question banks, retry and time limit restrictions. Accessibility was also a key consideration, and the assessments were provided with an audio version of each question, as well as versions with additional time allowance.

To give the client the desired control over these assessments, we also supported them with sourcing and implementing a learning management system.
