Business Development Manager

What will you be doing?

This is the perfect opportunity for an individual that is looking to place their energy and enthusiasm into taking us from established small business to scale up, working directly with the co-founders of the company to increase market share and to position us as the first-choice provider of L&D consultancy and e-Learning.

We are not looking for someone to treat this as a job – we are looking for an entrepreneurial individual to treat this as an opportunity. You will be leading our business development efforts across all business functions – working to identify and qualify new business leads and taking them through to commercial and contractual negotiation. You will come prepared with ideas of how to improve our business development activities, and take it upon yourself to ensure that all opportunities to engage with potential clients are explored.

You will apply yourself to putting in place approaches and processes that support the continued growth and expansion of the business, focusing on new and existing avenues to engage new leads and existing clients. Once you fully understand the business (for which you will receive full training), we will also be looking for you to inform of potential market opportunities, and how the business can evolve to make the best of these.

Experience

  • Experience of business development within the management consultancy industry and/or the supply of professional services, preferably with direct experience of learning & development consultancy and/or eLearning sectors.
  • Highly skilled in identifying client needs and aligning these to a suitable resolution
  • Experienced in writing proposals, with the ability to convey complex content and detail succinctly.
  • Experience of developing the profile and market position of a small business is preferrable
