E-learning designer (part time)

Do you have a good eye for graphic design and excellent written communication skills? Could you use these to create high quality, engaging online learning experiences?

We are looking for an e-learning designer to join our growing business. Working alongside our e-learning lead to create high quality bespoke e-learning that meets the needs of our clients and their learners.

This is a part time role of 25 hours per week (with option for flexible arrangement)

 

What you will do

As our e-learning designer, you will be involved in a variety of exciting contracts to deliver high quality, engaging e-learning to our clients. Specifically you will be:

  • Creating and developing e-learning from in-depth storyboards and project outlines.
  • Responsible for turning client requirements into engaging e-learning content, which will include writing copy, embedding learning checks and assessments, and designing ways to maintain engagement and interaction with the learner.
  • Working directly in support of our e-learning lead, who will support you in developing your skills and capabilities as you deliver against customer requirements.

About you

We are looking for someone who…

  • has demonstrable experience of writing engaging and relevant copy to inform and/or educate readers, who has excellent written communication skills and a good grasp of spelling, punctuation, and grammar rules.
  • has a good eye for graphic design; understanding how the layout and design of content enhances its usability and function, and also the importance of theme and branding.
  • is confident in communicating with a variety of people.
  • can understand a brief and turn this into a high quality deliverable.
  • is organised, able to work to deadlines, and takes responsibility for their own workload.
  • is enthusiastic and keen to learn.
  • has a strong attention to detail. Is proactive and able to problem solve.
  • can bring creativity and innovation to the role.
  • critically evaluates, questions and uses their initiative.
  • is competent and comfortable with using a variety of software packages.

 

Prior experience in training design and using e-learning authoring software such as Articulate would be an advantage.

 

Other desirable skills and experience

The following skills and experience would also be valuable to this role.

  • Storyboarding learning content from customer requirements
  • JavaScript coding knowledge
